About Christ

I was going to add an "About the Author" page, but I'm only the author of this blog in the same way that John was the author of Revelation.  The purpose of both is to point you towards God, the true author.

If you're reading this blog and you have never accepted salvation from Christ, I'm going to lay out the salvation message for you quickly.  Ever since Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, mankind has been a slave to sin.  Sins are when we disobey God's commands, and our sins are what separate us from God.  When we die the physical death, as all men do, we will be judged for our sins and sentenced accordingly.  If you can obey all of God's commandments, then you can pass judgement, but I'll give you a protip - not one man could do it.  Instead man in the past had to cover up his sin by offering sacrifices to God, continually.

But God had a better plan.  He sent his son to be born on earth and live as a man among the same temptations that we face everyday.  Because Jesus was the son of God, he was perfect and lived a blameless, sinless life.  And then he accepted the punishment for every sin of every man who ever lived or would live.  Imagine that, a free gift, one that we don't in any way deserve.  And all you have to do to escape the punishment that you have earned is to accept that gift.  Simple.  But for some reason that simple act is one of the hardest things for many people to do.

Maybe not as quick as I wanted the message to be, but there it is.  If you need to talk about it more, feel free to send me a message on here, God bless.
